Early Childhood Program Participation and K-12 Outcomes

How do form ECEAP participants perform on K-12 asessments?

This report looks at the students enrolled in the 2003-04 Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), their pathway into the Washington public K-12 system, and the impact of early childhood programs on their outcomes. It shows that a high-quality preschool experience can have a tremendous impact on a child’s learning and development, and can contribute to reductions in grade level retention and special education.
