First Available Year and Most Recent Year can represent either an academic year or a calendar year, depending on the data source. Academic Years are used by: OSPI, SBCTC, PCHEES, NSC, WSAC.  Academic Years are identified by the year in which the academic year ends (i.e., 2018 represents the 2017-2018 academic year). Calendar Years are used by: DCYF, WTB, LNI, ESD and represent January-December of the year listed.
